What you get, and what you agree to

What Based does, and what you do

Based observes and recommends. It reads your website, tells you what it found with the evidence for it, works out what is worth doing next, and writes the instruction or the copy or the file for the fix.

You make the change. You, or the AI agent you hand our instructions to, edits your own site, publishes your own pages and submits your own business to the places we point at. We have no access to your site, your repository, your hosting or your accounts anywhere, and no way to publish anything on your behalf.

That split is the important one, so it is worth being blunt about which side of it you are on: what goes live under your name is yours. You are responsible for what you publish, including anything generated here, and for reading it before it goes out. An AI draft is a draft. Check it against what is actually true of your business, because you are the one standing behind it and we cannot be.

Your account

You need an account to use the product, and you need to be able to receive mail at the address you sign up with, because that is how you confirm it and how you get back in.

Keep your password to yourself. What happens under your account is treated as you, and you are responsible for it. If you think somebody else is in it, email us and reset your password.

The subscription

Based Founding is $49.99/month. It is a recurring monthly subscription, charged by Stripe, and it renews every month until you cancel it. There is no contract, no minimum term and no setup fee.

The public price rises as Based does more. For as long as your subscription stays active you keep the price you started on. If you cancel and come back later, you come back on whatever the price is then.

Cancel any time from Billing in your account settings, which opens Stripe's billing screen. Cancelling stops the next payment. Your subscription runs to the end of the period you have already paid for, and access ends when that period does.

We do not offer refunds. There is no refund window, no free trial and no money back promise, because we have not built one and will not print one we cannot honour. If you think a charge is wrong, email us and we will look at it.

If a payment fails, your account is marked payment failed and the paid parts of the product lock until the payment goes through. Your data is not deleted and nothing is lost. Fix the card from the same Billing screen and it unlocks.

What you may not do

Only point Based at a website you own or are authorised to work on. Our crawler fetches the pages of whatever address you type, on your instruction, and asking it to read somebody else's site is you using our crawler against them. Do not.

Beyond that, the short list: do not try to reach another account's data or work around the limits that keep accounts apart, do not attack or overload the service, do not resell or repackage the product as your own, do not use it to produce anything unlawful or deceptive, and do not use it to publish claims about your business that are not true.

We can suspend or close an account over any of this. If we do, we will tell you why.

What third parties do is not ours to promise

Google, the AI assistants, the directories, the marketplaces and every other third party decide for themselves what they index, cite, list, approve or ignore. None of them answers to us and none of them tells us in advance.

So nothing in this product is a guarantee of traffic, rankings, citations, listings, approvals, leads or revenue. Based tells you what we observed and what we think is worth doing about it, in your own situation, with the reasoning shown. That is the thing you are paying for. The result belongs to the market.

No warranty, and the limit of what we owe you

The product is provided as it is. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, that every observation is correct, or that a recommendation is the right call for your business. Based says when it does not know something rather than guessing, and that is the standard we hold ourselves to, but it is not a warranty.

If we do owe you something, what we owe is capped at the amount you paid us in the twelve months before it happened. We are not liable for what you lose downstream of a change you published: lost revenue, lost traffic, lost data or lost time.

Ending it

You can cancel your subscription whenever you like, from Billing. Cancelling ends the payments and leaves your account and its data in place, so you can come back to it.

To delete the account itself and everything in it, email hello@basedmkt.com and ask. There is no delete button yet and the privacy page says plainly what happens when you ask.

The clause that is not here

There is no governing law and no venue clause on this page. Naming a court in a country we have not registered a company in would be decoration, and this page is not decoration. If that changes, it will be written here and the date at the top will move.

The same goes for everything else. When these terms change, this page changes, and the date is how you can tell.
